Haridwar–Dehradun Four-Laning — Balance Works Uttarakhand | Roads & Highways

Strengthening a Critical Highway Corridor in Uttarakhand

The Haridwar–Dehradun corridor is an important highway connection within Uttarakhand, linking two of the state’s major urban and pilgrimage centres.

MAV Associates LLP provided Supervision Consultancy Services for the balance works of four-laning of the Haridwar–Dehradun section under NHDP Phase III.

The project covered sections of NH-58 and NH-72, extending from Km 211+000 to Km 218+200 on NH-58 and Km 165+000 to Km 196+825 on NH-72. The works focused on completing the remaining four-laning components and strengthening the highway corridor to support safer and more efficient movement.

Supervising the Delivery of Highway Infrastructure

As part of the consultancy, MAV Associates LLP was involved in the supervision and monitoring of the balance four-laning works.

The scope included review of engineering designs and drawings, construction supervision, quality assurance and quality control, progress monitoring, inspection and measurement of works, certification of contractor bills, contract administration, and monitoring compliance with applicable technical specifications and project requirements.

Through continuous technical oversight, the consultancy supported the execution of the highway works while maintaining focus on quality, safety, construction progress and contractual compliance.

A Corridor Designed for Better Movement

The project contributed to improving the capacity and performance of the Haridwar–Dehradun highway corridor, supporting smoother movement between the two cities and improving connectivity across this important route.

The wider corridor also incorporates infrastructure designed to address the region’s environmental and wildlife considerations, including wildlife crossings and elephant underpasses along the highway.
